Plantarium, the annual horticultural trade fair held in Boskoop, The Netherlands is celebrating their 25th anniversary this year. With over 260 participating companies representing the best that Europe and North America has to offer, Plantarium is the premiere venue in which to introduce new plants to the trade. To whet your appetite, following is a sneak peek at some of the novelties that will make their debut at Plantarium.
The leaves of this beautiful, compact Acer distinguish themselves from all others in that both new and old leaves are variegated, grow along the entire branch and range in color from pink to green and white. Cornus 'KN30 8' (Venus®) This spring-flowering, upright, dark green leafed Cornus features enormous 5" to 6" in diameter white flowers. Hydrangea paniculata 'Kolmagimo' (Magical Moonlight) A must-have for Hydrangea lovers as its white flowers, which bloom from July to September, are up to 15" in diameter. If this sounds just too big to be true, you'll just have to come to Plantarium to see for yourself. |
