Although it’s a full two years before Floriade 2012 will open its gates to the public, the design and preparation for this once-per-decade horticultural showcase is already well underway. Featuring as its central theme, “Be part of the theatre of nature, get closer to the quality of life,” this newest edition of Floriade will be particularly focused on showcasing the true value of plants and green space by highlighting their social, economic and environmental benefits.
Special attention will be paid to the overall theme through five separate yet interconnected themes, all on spectacular display within this 64-hectare park:
The site chosen for Floriade 2012 is Venlo, located in the southeastern region of the Netherlands near to the German border and in the heart of Europe.
