Rod Cain, Media Designer for the garden center explained, "The 'Fresh as a Daisy' theme celebrates this perennial favorite which represents an appreciation for all things simple, clean and unpretentious - much like the character of our store." In order to maximize visibility and those important impulse purchases, the display was installed at the front entrance to 4 Seasons, where an old tractor is a permanent fixture. The display table, artfully framed in barn board with wheels attached to the legs, gave the appearance of an old cart being pulled by the tractor. As for plant material, Leucanthemum Shasta Daisy, 'Becky' and 'Snowcap' were the shining stars on the cart. 4 Seasons felt that the strongest visual impact would be made by showcasing only two cultivars of one genus. Not only did this simplify the 'Fresh as a Daisy' message, but also clearly demonstrated the impact that a massed grouping of these flowers could make. |
